Tracy Jane Jackson's The Civil War Brides Series, has been one I've thoroughly enjoyed. Since reading the first, The Bride Price, two weeks ago, I haven't been able to put them down.I just finished reading the last in this series, The Bride Accused, and find myself lost. Her characters have become a part of my family and with my being a Civil War history buff, that wasn't hard to do. Historically accurate, she takes you on a ride through the Civil War which makes has you believe you're actually there.
The Bride Accused sends Jessica Battaglia back to 1864 where she stumbles across Travis Wade. With his help, Jessica meets others who have traveled back in time and take her in. Overcoming obstacles and dangers, Jessica will learn to trust her new friends and find a love she hadn't realized she'd been looking for.
If you are looking for a great 'can't put down' series, then this it. They are all on my list of re-reads.

Every book in the series gets better and better so that is a sign of a great story. I hope the series continues because I only have the last one number Nine to go!
I did not think I could have been in touch with two characters more. I loved this story. Happy that these two were I introduced in this way
I had thought I had read all of the books in this series and was waiting for the last one when I discovered I had missed one. This book is just as great as all the others. It had been a while since I had read the others but this book took me right back in and I felt like I was rejoining old friends. I highly recommend reading the whole series, you will be captured and won't want to stop until you have read them all.
These books are very well written. I only read before going to sleep at night, so I look for a book that won't keep me awake after reading several chapters. It is a time travel series, going back to the Civil War time period. As I like American history, these hold my interest. This series seems to be close to the actual events of that time.
Another great story wound around the Cival War!! Great Characters and it was good to see some of the original characters back in the story. I will really miss Sophie,Emma, Hannah, the Wades, etc. as this is the last book in the series. Sure wish it could go on, great source of information on the Cival War especially in the first books of the series. Guess we'll never know about Emma's baby............
I enjoyed this book. The beginning was great being accused of murder and suddenly whisked off to the Civil War era via time travel. Jessica (Jake) is a great character. I think she fits in well with Sophie, Hannah, and the rest of the girls. I also liked getting to know the other characters such as Tracker and Topper. It was a good one to finish up that one "loose end" from Book One.
Life is pretty bad for Jessica, but gets worse when she finds herself smack in the middle of the Civil War. Love, patience, and several twists and turns bring this nurse back to the future where she must figure out whether to stay or go back to the past again. Such a wonderful story. TJJ has another winner!!!
